Monthly Meeting - Alamo Cafe 14250 San Pedro (hwy 281)
We usually start getting there about 6:30 and eat and socialize. The actual meeting starts at 7:30.
Blue Bonnet Trails of Texas
For this newly inaugurated event the club will be traveling the back roads of the Hill Country searching for those magical Blue Bonnet highways of flowers as only seen in Texas.
From San Antonio we will travel to Boerne, Nelson City, Waring, Sisterdale, Luckenbach, and on to our first stop at the Brewbonnet Cafe at the Wildseed Farms on Hwy 290
While at the WSF you will be able to stock up on seed packets, specialty food, bird feeders, gourmet foods or a host of many other products you're sure to find interesting. Also, while at the WSF check out the Brewbonnet Biergarten, I'm sure you'll find something interesting there.
After leaving the Wild Seed Farms we will be traveling south on the very scenic Old Tunnel Road for lunch at Alamo Springs General Store & Cafe. This cafe comes highly recommended
with a 4-star rating. This cafe has the usual Hill Country fare of hamburgers, CFS, fries, salads, Onion Ring and steaks.
Oh, and if you're really feeling spunky you can take on Jefe's Challenge which is a burger consisting of 6 patties and large order of fries. This burger, if that's what you want to call it, looks like the Eifel Tower. If you succeed you get a free T-shirt and your picture on the "Gluttons Wall-of-fame". And if you fail you get to pay for it, $28.00 please, and a long miserable ride horne. I think I'll pass.
Meet: Bass Pro Shop, at 9:15 depart 9:30
23rd New Braunfels Swap Meet & Car Show
A pretty good car show in scenic Old World New Braunfels. If you're looking for some special part or item, this would be the place to look for it. Located in the N.B. fair
grounds. Opens at 8:00am till the beer runs out.
April 25th- Cannon Field Fly in. Lots of Vintage aircraft on a grass field. We will leave the YMCA at Saint Mary's and 281 at 9:30, take a short drive through the countryside and get to see all the aircraft and displays. They have a BBQ meal to purchase there and cakes and pies and cookies. One lucky member of our club will get a ride in one of the aircraft. Questions call Brian 210-632-0357.
